The Japan Foundation, Manila, in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan, Shangri-La Plaza Mall, UP Film Institute, Film Development Council of the Philippines, ClickTheCity.com and NET 25 TV, proudly presents Eiga Sai 2012 featuring Japanese Contemporary Films to be shown at the Shang Cineplex Cinema 4 (July 6 to 15), Gaisano South Citimall, Davao City (July 20 to 22), Ayala Center Cinema 4, Cebu City (August 7 to 12) and UP Film Institute, Quezon City (August 15 to 21).
Last night, Mia and I, went to Shangri-La Plaza to catch two of the films having presented for Eiga Sai 2012 in celebration of the Philippine-Japan Friendship Month. We were able to watch Ninja Kids and Permanent Nobara- from action-comedy to a heartwarming love story. Being self-proclaimed movie geeks, we surely wouldn't miss this especially Mia who's simply delighted by anything Japanese.
Ninja Kids is a movie about aspiring ninja kids who're out to prove that age is not the basis when it comes to strength and wit because indeed, to be a real ninja you must have the GUTS!
People die twice. First, when they stop living. second, when they are forgotten.
Permanent Nobara, was somewhat a mixture of drama, romance, and comedy about broken hearts and moving on. If you think it's just a typical romance movie, I dare you watch it then you'll understand what I'm talking about.
By the way, ADMISSION IS FREE!
I know you're gonna enjoy it as much as we did ;)
